Mosca & Katy B…

London-based producer Mosca demolished dancefloors last year with his single ‘Bax’, a bounding, old-school flavoured fusion of speed garage and bassline house. With ‘What You Came For’ (out 22nd October on Rinse), he revisits and reconstructs it around a buoyant vocal from Katy B.

Katy first wrote the song with the intention of just playing it at her live shows over the summer, but the response was so positive Mosca and Rinse decided to record and release it in full.

“If you ain’t moving, tell me what you came for,” the chorus runs, neatly summing up the track’s appeal. Expect to hear it rumbling through sound systems and setting dancefloors ablaze for the foreseeable future.
