‘Long Forgotten Boy’, the new single from Night Works (formerly of Metronomy and Your Twenties) is out out March 4th and the first song written as part of the Night Works project – is a sparse pop song with cold synth interludes, perfect for capturing that 4am feeling, “the end of those nights out at Fabric” (made even more appropriate with its accompanying Erol Alkan remix).
It all makes for an unusually compelling listen – unsurprising, considering that upcoming album ‘Urban Heat Island’ is a record that Stebbing says has “lots of secrets and lots of clues…I want people to enjoy it enough to want to find out more”.
In the meantime, check this preview of said single. Enjoy.
