Drawing influences from the images of digital culture and the rich palette of contemporary electronic music, ‘Clear Eyes’, the debut EP from Wildarms (out 5th February on Cascine), is bright and stylish, charged with an appreciation for the romanticism in ordinary moments.

“When I tried to write a bunch of Wildarms-sounding breakup songs,
I realised that wasn’t actually me.” says Duncan Cooper, the Brooklyn producer and music journalist behind Wildarms. “I decided to skip the polar emotions and take the middle road. Instead of melodrama, I tried to make music about day-to-day love rather than huge moments. Tried to focus on the middle-part of relationships and not just the starts and stops.”
