‘808 & Art Shakes’ is the debut album by Blusher. Drawing influence from Doo Wop, early Sun Records, Timbaland and Brian Eno. Blusher spent days in isolation recording his debut over a year and a half period, while spending nights manning the door at a New York music venue.

“Vinyl Static and warble tape effects are used to emulate past music formats that would degrade and warp over time while also representing the imperfection of memory and the haziness of dreams. Digital clipping is used as a modern artifact. The voice is the main instrument layered, edited and collapsing upon itself. The lyrics are devotion Mantras. Deeply personal reflections and looping thought sequences that ponder guilt, desire and truncated narratives on love and regret.”

The entire album is available as a name your price download and is available as a preview below.
